SIXTH ANNUAL TECHNOLOGY FUTURES FORUM

WAS HELD THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2006

The 2006 Technology Futures Forum explored "Putting Nanotechnology to Work." Minnesota business leaders and research experts convened at the Technological Leadership Institute to present the latest nanotechnology applications and products and to engage forum participants in a discussion of the future technological possibilities of nanotechnology.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Dennis Polla, Ph.D., who leads the nanotechnology area at DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency).

Small Times magazine (2006) ranks the University of Minnesota as second in the country for industrial outreach when it comes to micro and nanotechnology and ninth in the country for research in micro and nanotechnology.
